Review: I LOVED the first book, Half-Blood, so I was so excited when I got the second book. I'm happy to say that Pure doesn't disappoint.Publication Date: April 3, 2012

Synopsis: There is need. And then there is Fate...
Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her.
When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon... and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude... or killing her.
When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.
Alex is just as lovable as she was in the first book. She's extremely stubborn, strong, and hilarious. She's irrational and reckless, often getting reprimanded for it, but that just makes her even better. Plus, she always knows how to kick butt. There's not much growth in Alex as a character in this book, but there's definitely a ton of growth in the other characters!
Let's move on to the love triangle. I cannot believe Jennifer L. Armentrout did this to me. Aiden, my sweet Aiden, is no longer sweet. He's hot and cold, which drove me crazy. I just couldn't find it in me to like him anymore. Seth, on the other hand, completely won my heart. I liked him a lot in Half-Blood, but in Pure, he just stole the show. He's perverted and funny, but he's also super sweet and always there for Alex, especially when Aiden's not. I'm okay if Alex ends up with either of them, but right now, I'm loving Seth.
The plot in this book is fabulous. It's paced perfectly and the action is thrilling. There's tons of romance, which I love. There's also some mystery involved. There are still several strings that haven't been tied yet. I hope that they will be explained in Deity!
Overflowing with wit, romance, and action, Pure is a fabulous follow-up to Half-Blood. I think I loved Half-Blood more, but I'm still incredibly excited for Deity!
